The Fairfield Round

This image was from our second attempt to walk the Fairfield Horseshoe, the first being a crisp March morning after snow fall from the night before.  It was a glorious day but we had to turn back after Great Rigg when snow started to fall again. This time we headed up via High Sweden bridge.  We aimed for the next peak along rather than having to deal with the disappointment of having to turn back because of bad weather or even worse because we were too tired. It was a fabulous day with great views and some great images to work from.  The only downside was my boots gave up on me... I loved those boots.
