I originally approached this painting with a God's own type image in mind - think more brilliant summery greens.... Well... that didn't quite go to plan but I am really pleased with the results and the colours are a change for me and I love them.

This was my second time at Art in the Pen in Skipton so I knew what I had in store in terms of set-up etc. This year I was further up the aisle and until I arrived wouldn't know what the lighting would be like in that area.

Art in the Pen is held in an auction market so isn't designed to be a gallery. Some areas of the big shed are particularly dark, whilst others are smellier!

I have been very fortunate to be invited once again to exhibit with the Biscuit Factory for their Winter Exhibition which started at the end of November.  This has to be one of my favourite venues because of the size of the gallery space, which is just wonderful for my larger paintings, but also ...

We have now just closed our doors to the Saltaire Arts Trail and can briefly put our feet up for a rest before the next show starts.  The Maiden Bridge Summer show opens on the 4th June and will run everyday until 12th June and then will continue every Saturday and Sunday until the 31st July 201...
