Mickleden and Pikes relocate to Skipton[/caption]
So we delivered this painting to Skipton last week so Emma and Sheila could see how it looked and whether it fitted and worked in their kitchen and within 10 minutes or so the nails and hammer came out and up went the painting. We did then spend about an hour discussing whether it was straight or not... even the spirit level came out!
Even if I do say so myself it works well in that room as the light is not too bright so you really get to see the colours of the painting. This is one of my bigger paintings (153 x 92 cms) but it does illustrate that you don't necessarily need a big house, wall or space for these paintings. Mickleden and the Pikes doesn't looked cramped on the wall, in fact it looks as though it was painted specially for that space.
So thank you Emma and Sheila for giving this painting a lovely new home.
