£450.00

Product Description

This course is now full but spaces are available on the 19 - 22 March Masterclass in Coverack, Cornwall.

I am really excited to be returning to Cornwall in 2025 to run a number of workshops using oils and cold wax. I have had such a wonderful time in this beautiful village over the last few years and the groups who attended my workshops produced some amazing work. We have had some lovely times painting and socialising, making new friends and exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall.

What will be covered?

Building on your existing knowledge this workshop in Coverack, Cornwall will focus on using advanced techniques such as solvent pours, glazes, blending as well as covering technical aspects relating to tools, surfaces, colour, values, textures, shapes, and composition.

Over the four days we will focus on creating a triptych on boards which we will prepare during the workshop. Working intuitively, and allowing our work to evolve, we will experiment with colour mixing using a limited palette, glazes and transparent tints.

The workshop will include information about techniques, as well as demonstrations but more importantly there will be time for dedicated and focused painting and individual support.

Is this the right course for me?

This workshop has been designed for people who have previously attended an advanced oil and cold wax workshop and / or are ready to work on a larger scale (30 x 90 cm). You will be challenged to move away from your go-to colour palette and to experiment with a range of techniques to incorporate into your own practice.

If you have not previously attended an advanced oil and cold wax workshop, please contact me in advance before booking.

Timings

Thursday 3 April to Sunday 6 April 2025, from 10 am until 4 pm with an hour for lunch.

What shall I bring with me?

All materials and use of tools are covered in the price of the workshop. Wear some old clothes or bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes.

Please note that some of the materials used during the workshop are not vegan. This includes the paper used throughout the workshop which unfortunately cannot be substituted for another product.

Where is the workshop being held?

This workshop will be held at Lambeage Hall in the beautiful village of Coverack, South West Cornwall. The hall is situated right on the coast and has some of the most fantastic views and is also within walking distance of the local pub for our post workshop debriefs!

Over the last three years we have had people travel from across the UK and beyond to attend the workshop and made a holiday of it. There is plenty of accommodation in the village and surrounding area including a campsite above the village.
