Dark Fells
I originally approached this painting with a God's own type image in mind - think more brilliant summery greens.... Well... that didn't quite go to plan but I am really pleased with the results and the colours are a change for me and I love them.

God's own work in progress
Over the last 3 years I have been painting a series called God's Own. They were very much inspired by the beautiful Yorkshire landscape with rolling green hills and dark brooding skies. Most of them were painted with oil on canvas and the largest being 1m x 1m.

The valley trembles...
I have been using Arches Huille paper since I first started using oil and cold wax and I love it! But I really wanted to scale up and see what could be achieved on a larger scale using the paper and oil and cold wax. The valley trembles is my first large scale painting using oil and cold wax on paper.

A painting in progress
So I've bought a new gadget which means I can literally hang my phone from anything and set it up to film a painting in progress. And this is what I did this weekend and as it is time lapsed you can see me paint one of my larger paintings in just a few seconds. It does take me just a little b...
