Threads of Light (On the Horizon) captures the quiet moment when day slips into night and the landscape holds its breath beneath a fading sky. Soft, shifting tones gather above the land as light begins to withdraw, leaving only the echo of colour suspended in the atmosphere.

A single, horizontal line of gold leaf runs across the composition—steady, luminous, and restrained—marking the point where earth meets sky and the last light is held for a moment before it disappears.

This work explores that fragile threshold between presence and absence, where light becomes almost tangible as it settles along the horizon. Created in oils, mixed media, and gold leaf on Arches Huile paper, it invites stillness, contemplation, and a quiet awareness of passing time.
