In January 2021 lockdown was creating havoc with my schedule and I would find that I wouldn’t leave the house for 3-4 days and be constantly glued to my computer screen. I decided I needed another project which would give me some structure and this coincided with the start of the 100 day project which was running on Instagram.

So I am loving my new studio but with work commitments and generally feeling a bit meh about all this lockdown I found myself not leaving the house for 3-4 days at one point in January. So I decided to join the 100 day project this year and I am creating a little painting each day based on the weather and using a limited palette.

I have some pretty spectacular changes lined up for this year with the most exciting one being a move out of my cellar studio into a brand new, purpose built studio in Bingley. Still some way to go before I get in there but I have the plans and I have cut out small squares of sticky coloured paper to help me decide where things are going to go.

Here is a sneaky peek of some of my new work which will be on show for the first time at the Saltaire Arts Trail. This is only a sample of the work so do make sure you get along to the Arts trail to see the full collection.

I originally approached this painting with a God's own type image in mind - think more brilliant summery greens.... Well... that didn't quite go to plan but I am really pleased with the results and the colours are a change for me and I love them.

I have been very fortunate to be invited once again to exhibit with the Biscuit Factory for their Winter Exhibition which started at the end of November.  This has to be one of my favourite venues because of the size of the gallery space, which is just wonderful for my larger paintings, but also ...
