Workshop news

Aug 13, 2019

It was after Art in the Pen in 2017 when I first started thinking about offering workshops. Loads of people had wanted to talk to me about my paintings and were asking me about whether I would run workshops. I'd never really thought anyone would be interested to be honest but once I started using cold wax I could see how accessible this medium would be for anyone, novices or the more experienced artist.

So it is almost two years ago now when I first approached April at the Craft House to see if she'd be interested and the following year we embarked on our workshop collaboration! Things have developed pretty quickly since then with lots of additional workshops now being offered for 2020 plus April's business is expanding so the workshops will move to bigger premises in Bingley later this year. Super excited about that but will wait until nearer the time to tell you more!

Alongside that I have been working with the Biscuit Factory up in Newcastle to develop a 1 day oil and cold wax workshop with them. I have been exhibiting with the Biscuit Factory since 2008 now when I first exhibited my Cuban collection as part of their Vamos exhibition so I am really pleased to be offering a small number of workshops with them.

My first workshop will be on 1 December 2019 which ties in nicely with their Winter Show where I will have a collection of new work on show with them.

So plenty of options there for anyone who wants to join me at one of my workshops next year. There's lots of information on my website to help you choose the workshop which is right for you. If you have any questions then do get in touch.
