Maiden Bridge Summer Show

[gallery link="file" type="rectangular" ids="1016,1015,1014"] So the Saltaire Arts Trail may be over but the summer exhibition at Maiden Bridge has only just started although I am very pleased to say that Howgill Fell has already sold! The exhibition has over thirty artists and for those of you who have never visited I would encourage you to do so not only because of the quality of the work being exhibited but also the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful.  Pop into Settle on your way home for some fish and chips and you'll have yourself a grand day out. I know the area around Ingleborough very well as I used to spend many a Saturday during the summer walking around that area on my own, grumbling about how many blisters I have on my feet but being completely obsessed with the three peaks.  However I never ventured that little further north-west towards Maiden Bridge where the landscape dramatically changes.  It is stunning and every time I go up there it inspires me to create a whole new series just of that area. That series will come eventually but in the meantime get yourselves over to Maiden Bridge.  The exhibition is on until end of September and they are open from 11 am until 5 pm on weekends.  And should you find yourself equally inspired to paint then you may be interested in their drawing, painting and printing courses.
