Scaling up

I have absolutely loved being back in the studio painting and this time I have been experimenting with scale and surface. For the last 3 years I have been mainly painting with cold wax on a smaller scale and on paper. Workshop with the Guiseley Art Club

I had such a lovely time over the Bank Holiday weekend with the Guiseley Art Club who invited me to run a one day workshop for them on using oils with cold wax.

The work they produced in such a short period of time was fantastic and to top it off they also created this wonderful video of the day.

The Letterbox series...?

Is it a series? Well I seem to be creating quite a number of pieces lately using this format but also using the metallic powders. It is starting to be a fairly significant body of work that I have decided to hold on to them for now with the idea of exhibiting them all together at an exhibition towards the end of the year.
