Since I started using the cold wax medium with oils I have always bought it off the shelf, ready made. I was aware you could make your own but the idea of heating up solvents wasn't really on my bucket list. However spending 2018 teaching the use of cold wax medium I thought it was about time to experiment and really get to know the medium a little more. 

During my artist residency at Brisons Veor, Cornwall, in 2018 I published a daily visual blog on my facebook page www.facebook.com/PaulaDunnArtist. It was my way of keeping in touch with friends and family but I also had some really wonderful interactions with other artists and people living in and around Brisons Veor. The intention was to share progress with my paintings but also my adventures exploring the landscape and dealing with the ever changing weather.

In 2018 I was lucky enough to be awarded an artist residency at Brisons Veor in Cornwall. Brisons Veor is a residential workspace set in an inspiring and unique location away from the day-to-day distractions of their home lives. This is part two of my blog documenting my stay in this beautiful location.
